Which social media platforms integrate with Sherlockt?
Currently Sherlockt intergates with a child’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Compatibility with other platforms is in development with Snap Chat and Tik Tok included in future updates.
Do parents need their own social media accounts to connect to their children’s social media?
No. Sherlockt manages the connection, so parents do not require their own social media accounts.
I’m having technical problems. Who do I contact?

If children change any of the log-in credentials for social media accounts connected to Sherlockt, the guardian is alerted that changes have been made within the app.
Why is there a monthly charge?
For maximum protection Sherlockt constantly monitors and updates words and phrases which can be associated with bullying and harassment.
How were the trigger words and phrases created?
The extensive list of words and phrases has been developed by working with social media platforms to try and capture the most common trigger words to help screen for online bullying and harassment.
What words and phrases are on the trigger list?
The Sherlockt trigger list includes over 500 word that could be associated with bullying or harassment. We do not make this list accessible as its content is not appropriate for public consumption. It includes all the words that a parent could conceive to be offensive and many others that most people may never have heard of. This list is constantly updated with the assistance of social media platforms, industry experts and indeed parents themselves.
Can a guardian add and delete trigger words?
Guardians can add specific target words they believe are particularly relevant to their children’s and may not be on the list. Maximum 50 words
Trigger words cannot be deleted. Although there may be words that continue appearing on the feeds that do not create a concern, it is advisable that these words remain on the list to ensure complete protection always.
Can children change or stop trigger words?
No. Guardians have complete control over the trigger words in the app.
What should I do once I receive an alert?
Once Sherlockt uncovers suspect content, the parent can determine the seriousness of the situation and act accordingly. Where do you start?
